Types of Hydraulic Cranes
Amongst the most popular cranes in the construction business is hydraulic cranes. They are utilized to make everything from roadways and freeway overpasses to skyscrapers and buildings.

Cranes come in a huge variety of models, styles and sizes. These various units enable the operators and owners to execute many more functions in their industry. Choosing the right type of crane is essential for making certain that the material could be moved safely and efficiently to the place it has to get to in order for the construction process to start.

Truck Cranes
Usually, truck cranes have 2 different cabs. One cab is for controlling the crane and the other is for driving the truck when the unit is in transport mode. These cranes are very useful for building locations where a crane is needed in many different locations for the duration of the build. This is due to the fact that the crane can be easily driven from one location to another.

Cranes could also be transported to different construction sites on the road as they drive themselves, that eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own greatly lessens transport expenses at the end of the day.

The truck crane however is not stable enough to handle all the major loads that a hydraulic crane can handle. Thus, in order to fix this issue, outriggers could be extended from the deck. The outriggers make use of hydraulic pressure to be able to lift the truck slightly off of the ground, making it stable and balanced.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
Crawler cranes feature big tracks on the base of the crane. These massive tracks are like the ones seen on other construction machinery such as bulldozers and backhoes. The tracks allow the crane to successfully move around a construction locations.
