Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major analysis of operators' working conditions. The most important goal is to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is really comfortable and gently rounded. This particular area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential information, so as to keep the operator working as effectively as she or he could.
Due to the insulated mounting to the chassis, vibration levels and overall noise levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. Furthermore, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 ergonomically positioned multi-functioned and simple to operate levers that are offered for windscreen wipers, gear changing, the window washers and horn.
To guarantee a comfy cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit provides incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, heating and cooling. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The standard instruments that comprise: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. In addition, gauges display values for fuel quantity, operating time, engine coolant and gearbox oil pressure.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is amongst the key options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the equipment. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any errors that take place and their current values.
