Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines manufactured by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial situations where the machine needs to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and flexibility of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Key features which this combination offers is out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Furthermore, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machinery with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this particular type is the best in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Moreover, they offer exceptional torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and supreme power. The diesel engines are generally quiet too. Most models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
