Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts offer versatility and height. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is designed to raise staff is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
