Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move things and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.
To be able to prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated carefully. Equipment should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle can turn smoothly. The pallet should be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be at the center to be able to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop abruptly. Gradually stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
