Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with different other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were unreachable by conventional jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing efficiency and production.
